About NAO
Nepal Accounts Olympiad is a national non-profit founded by Chartered Accountants, ACCA members and educators who believe that education should end in employability.
Learn Our Story
Every year, tens of thousands of students in Nepal complete Class 12. Most leave without knowing what income tax is, what a PAN is, how to fill a bank voucher, how to issue a bill, or how to record a day's transactions.
These are not advanced skills. They are the ordinary, everyday requirements of working life in Nepal. Yet our education system rarely teaches them — and so a student who is, on paper, educated, walks into the job market unable to be useful on day one.
NAO was founded on 1 July 2026, Chartered Accountants Day, by practising Chartered Accountants, ACCA members and academicians who believe practical skill should not depend on a family's financial position.
Today NAO is building towards one measurable outcome: that a student who finishes Class 12 in Nepal can, within months and at no cost, become capable of doing real work, earning an honest income, and paying for their own education.

Open access
Opportunity for All
Our flagship programs — the Level 1 training course and NATH — are offered completely free of cost, so that ability, not affordability, decides who advances. Future programs may be offered on a paid basis to keep the organization self-sustaining, but our flagship programs will always remain free.

Nepal Accounts Olympiad was founded on Chartered Accountants Day.

Registered
Registration completed with the Social Welfare Council and the Office of the Company Registrar.

Governance
A Board of Governors was constituted from Chartered Accountants, ACCA members and academicians.

HISSAN partnership
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with HISSAN Bagmati Province.

Level 1 curriculum
Job Ready Accounting Training - Level 1 was finalised as 20 free episodes.

A seven-province talent hunt was designed with cash prizes and full scholarships.
